About Us

Our Mission

Vancouver Esports Association is a non-profit based in the Metro Vancouver area that functions as a central hub to connect gamers as well as unite and highlight local esports communities.

Our Vision

Our vision is to ensure all gamers in the Metro Vancouver area have access to communities, events, and opportunities to grow where they feel a sense of belonging.

Why does there need to be a Vancouver Esports Association?

There is a lack of connection, involvement, and awareness within Vancouver despite being home to many passionate gamers, strong esports communities and as a hub for the video game industry.

Events

There is a lack of consistent large scale events. Existing events are only active at few static locations. Those locations each have their own challenges in terms of location and capabilities.

Community

Many gamers often have difficulty finding or becoming involved communities for the games they love. The current ecosystem doesn’t support community organizers to be active due to lack of resources and involvement.

Industry

Vancouver is a growing hub for esports companies and startups. These companies, as part of a local esports ecosystem, lack outlets to collaborate and engage with the community.

Local Talent

Despite a lot of local talent coming out of B.C, there are only a few professional organizations tied to the city; notable one being the Vancouver Titans. Talent in competitive play and industry is abundant in Vancouver there is a lack of visibility and opportunity.
